Honeycomb is a boutique grocer located in Union Market, Washington DC. I painted custom letters with sumi ink, based on the Japanese Hiragana and Katakana alphabets.
The graphic of the logo is a vastly simplified illustration of a rice plant. Honeycomb sells homemade noodles, dumplings, fermented vegetables and Asian sauces.
